Personal Home Care Attendants

Are available to eligible Medicaid recipients through the Department of Aging & Disability Services (D.A.D.S). A personal attendant will provide assistance with personal care and light housekeeping tasks.

Personal care tasks include:

  • Bathing, incontinence care
  • Grooming, hair & skin care
  • Meal preparation
  • Exercise, accompanying you for walks
  • Assisting with transferring
  • Grocery shopping
  • Escorting the patient to and from doctor’s appointments and the grocery store

Housekeeping tasks include:

  • Laundry: clothes & linens
  • Taking out the trash
  • Cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, light dusting, cleaning the bathroom, and washing dishes.
